Dr. Strange's article No "burp back" Education!

After reading Dr. Strange's article on no "burp back" education I agree that we as educators need to do more than just drill facts into young student's minds. I know that we have to have certain exams to see what the students have learned throughout the year, but the type of exams that are giving need to be revamped. Learning facts and definitions is easily lost if the students do not go over them day after day; however, if they are given an option to learn the same material in a hands on or visual aspect they will retain the subject matter longer. So, in my opinion Dr. Strange hit the nail on the head when he feels that students need to THINK about an answer to a question not just regurgitate facts down on a piece of paper.
